"I am a first degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I have been participating in the sport since I was 10 years old. I have competed nationally and even internationally going all the way to Croatia. I am also a 2 time national champion. I have attended many different schools so I have learned many different types of techniques and weapons. Now I am a teacher at a community Rec-Center teaching kids how to defend themselves."

ATHLETICS
So maybe you’re not headed to NFL training camp — but you are an invaluable trainer for your high school soccer team, an umpire at your little sister’s softball games, or the most creative choreographer on your school’s cheerleading squad. This high school athletics award is all that and more. The Discus Awards are looking for students whose athletic accomplishments are just one way they express their uncommon energies.
