"I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at age eight. It changed my life and forced me to grow up really fast. I've always been the most mature and the most responsible of my friends. I have made many new friends, and learned a lot through having this disease. I no longer look at it as a burden, but view it as more of a blessing. I think having Crohn's has helped shape me into the person I am today."
Do you have a passion that can’t be put in a box? Discus cares about your high school clubs, hobbies, and random activities. Perhaps you fold 1,000 paper origami cranes every New Year, groom poodles for a local dog show, or test recipes for your grandmother’s public access cooking show. And, if you’ve overcome personal obstacles on your path to success, Discus wants to recognize your achievements in the face of hardship.
