Athletics
Sports have always been a big part of my life and I can not imagine my life without them. I am a multi talented athlete. I am dedicated to my team and sports. Throughout high school I have participated in track and field, cross country, basketball, and swimming. Although I am involved in many sports I found track and field to be the most rewarding. I enjoy running ,but I discovered that I had a talent for throwing. In 2011 our team was the Georgia region 3AAA champions and in 2012 we came in second. I placed 5th in discus in the region. I also ran second leg for the number 1 throwers 4x100 meter relay team in Georgia with a time of 59 seconds. I am passionate about working out and competing in sports. My goal is to work hard this summer to prepare for college track and field tryouts.
Academics
This year I will be graduating with a 4.0 in the top 5% of my class. I am a well rounded student who is involved in various extracurricular activities. My Sat score is 1490. Countless times I have made principals list for having all A's. My leadership and academics has earned me a membership in the National Honor Society and Beta club. I received the highest writing test score. I have enrolled in multiple advanced placement courses such as biology, statistics, and literature. So far I have received college credit for AP world and U.S. history. I was nominated for the Georgia Governor's Honor program and made it to the second round of interviews. I am a University of Georgia certificate of merit recipient. In fact, I will attend the University of Georgia to study athletic training.
Arts
God has blessed me with a handful of artistic ability. I have always been interested in the arts at a very young age. I took the initiative to express my talent by taking several art courses at my high school as well as participating in a summer camp at the Art Institute of Atlanta. I designed a short animation. I am also a member of my school's art club. I often help my classmates in art class and I volunteer to help complete art projects for the school.I most recently received an award for outstanding artistic ability in drawing. I also have a passion for music. I was a drummer for my elementary and middle school band. In 8th grade we performed in New York and received superior ratings. I can recall watching numerous You-Tube videos trying to teach myself to play the piano.
