Arts

For all of my life I have been heavily involved in the theatre. I have acted in countless plays both at school and in the community. This year I have taken an internship at at local theatre in order to further my understanding of professional theatrical production. I also directed and produced the musical at my local middle school this past year, rejuvenating their program (it was the school's first show in three years).

I have also been involved with music, primarily as a vocalist. I am a member of my high school's advanced choir, and inspired the creation of our school's men's acapella group, of which I am a member. i have also been in the PMEA district choir for the past three years, and this year had the opportunity to sing with the PMEA regional choir.

Academics

I have always worked to stay on the higher end of acedemia in my school. I have been a member of the National Honors Society for the past three years. Last year I took three advanced placement courses ( AP Government and Politics, AP Language and Composition, as well as AP Calculus AB) and this year I am taking four advanced placement courses, with the intent of taking the AP tests for each ( those being AP European History, AP Language and Literature, AP Statistics, and AP Environmental Science). Additionally, I have taken two additional courses at my local community college, an introductory course in philosophy and a course in critical thinking.

Technology

One of my great hobbies in life has been the creation of film. In my high school career, I have worked on putting together a number of short films, which I direct, write, assist in editing and organize. Last year I made, with a number of freinds, who I directed, a music video to the song "Safety Dance" which won first place in the music video category at my school's film festival. I also entered a condensed version of the film "Disturbia" into the film festival at my local community college. This year I made a commercial for my school's production of West Side Story which was shown on my school's weekly telivision show. It is also eligable for a Cappie award.
