Community Service
Community Service has been a huge part of my life where I have exceeded 600 community service hours throughout high school. I have been very active in my school's Interact Club, which is basically a community service club. I have a passion for helping others and thus was beyond thrilled to become part of this club. Sadly, soon after joining this club, I realized it was quite inactive. Through hard work, dedication, and my leadership role of Vice President, I was able to achieve my goal of making more community service projects available for this club, which have included Boys & Girls Club, Soup Kitchen, March of Dimes, Fifth Street Ministries, Yokefellow Hunger Walk, Feed the Hungry, Laura Laws Golf Tournament, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, and Carolina BalloonFest.
Faith
Faith has always been a very important part of my life. I was literally going to church before I was born and was saved at a young age. I believe that through my faith I truly developed my passion for helping others. I have proudly been able to participate in several mission trips where I have traveled to places as close as Georgia and Tennessee and as far as Canada and Bolivia, South America. Through these mission trips, I not only made a physical impact on the community, but was also able to make an emotional impact as I had the opportunity to share the gospel and my faith with the members of the surrounding communities and hopefully make an everlasting impact in their environment, lives, and hearts. My inspiration is found in Galatians 5:13, "but by love, serve one another.”
