Arts
Dance, music, and art are my passions. I have been drawing since I was four, and was in my local newspaper in the seventh grade for a self portrait I drew. I began playing guitar when I was five and began singing my eighth grade year. I won many online youtube contests for my original songs, performed at every talent show in my high school placing first and second overtime, and am currently producing my music to help finance myself for college. I have been dancing for five years and am the choreographer and captain of my high school. I know many styles of dance especially break dance, hip hop, and freestyling. I am also a published photographer in one of the Photographer's Forum's International Contest and have one the Sweepstakes, best in show, for the Riverside County Industrial Expo.
Athletics
I was captain of my middle school dance team when I was 13. I soon became captain of my high school's dance team my sophomore year. I have been in competitions such as SHARP and have won first and second place. I have also competed in World of Dance, which is very rare to get in. I am now a junior and am the choreographer for many local dance teams and crews. I have started a local organization in town for those who love to dance but cannot afford classes, and it is free to the public. I also help coach and teach young kids in middle school to dance and achieve their goals.
Other Achievements
I was suicidal at the age of nine. I moved from a Catholic private school, to one of the most unsafe environments and a public school. I was doing self harm, and put myself into a state of depression because of the harsh living I was going through with school, the lack of friends, and the empty void of a family. One day, at dance practice, I went to the hospital when I was twelve from a panic attack from depression. When I got back to school, everyone was worried and comforted me asking if I was okay. That was the first time I realised people were really there for me, and I had no reason to feel alone anymore. That day changed my life. I now strive to help those who go through what I did, and help them know that they aren't alone and people do really care. I use my art to help others.
