ATTRIBUTES
Athletics
Athletics has had a major impact on me and has made who I am today. Beginning gymnastics at such a young age and sticking with it all the way through senior year has taught me to never quit, even when things get tough. I've pushed myself and have placed at national, state, and district meets numerous of times. Another sport that I've participated and excelled in is track and field. I was a district champion, regional placer, and a state placer for a relay team. My senior year (if I'm able to run due to injury) I expect to go return to the state meet and make my season even more successful than my past ones. Lastly, throughout my high school years, I also participated in cheer leading for one year and cross country for three.
Academics
Entering into high school, I expected it to be just as easy as middle school and being able to get by without having to try very hard. My freshman year I realized that high school is something you have to work hard in, if I wanted to continue to receive good grades. Realizing this then I think has helped me very much and I has gave me the right mind set to do well in the future. Freshman and sophomore year I took all the honors class I was able to. Junior year I was able to and did take dual enrollment courses. Senior year I attend and academy which allows me to shadow different areas of the hospital (which I plan to pursue in college) and I am taking three dual enrollment courses as well. These classes are show me how hard I am going to have to work once I attend college this fall.
Other Achievements
One major other achievement is one in which I did not try to achieve, but I am thankful that I did. I received fall homecoming queen at my high school. I feel that this is an achievement because it is not something that is necessarily a popularity contest, or one in which just your own grade is a part of choosing, but the school is apart of choosing the school's king and queen. Receiving queen was such an honor because it shows that I have gotten the attention of students in all grades, and not only that, but have their respect. Students vote for those they like and believe deserves to be queen, along with one which they think represents the school well. Therefore, I believe that earning queen showed that I am a likeable and able to get along with people, no matter the age they are.
