ATTRIBUTES
Academics
Throughout my years in schooling, I have managed to receive straight A's and excel on standardized tests. In high school I have taken a variety of honors and advanced placement classes, scoring a 4 on my A.P. English Language and Composition exam to help gain some college credit. My hard work has landed me a 4.393 GPA and a class rank of 13 out of 463. I am in the top ten percent of my senior class and have received the highest honor award at my school. My performance in school has allowed me to take part in Beta Club and National Honors Society which are available for the academically advanced. Working hard in school has always been my top priority because I believe in the importance of education.
Arts
The dramatic arts have always been my passion. Not only have I acted in countless productions, I have also taken a shot at directing. I have been acting as long as I can remember in church productions, community theatre, and high school theatre productions. At Encore Theatre Company, I performed as Belinda Cratchit in Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carole", Rachel Brown in "Inherit the Wind" and directed the one act play "Sorry, Wrong Number". In high school I have landed the lead roles of Rusty in "Footloose", Marty in "Grease", and Velma Von-Tussle in "Hairspray". I also auditioned for the Freshman Honors Choir, decided by the Middle Tennessee Vocal Association, and was chosen as a soprano my freshman year. Acting, directing, and singing are my passions and will continue to be forever.
Community Service
Community Theatre has been a main aspect in my community service history. I directed a one act play at ETC and was able to help teenagers learn important acting techniques as well as put on an amazing show. With my church family, Mount Juliet Life Church, I have volunteered at the Nashville Rescue Mission by serving food and the Brooks House for Women and Children. I was able to donate clothes and other goods to the women at the Brooks House which helps women and their children in need. National Honors Society and Beta Club at school have allowed me to donate food and clothing to local families in need and volunteer with the Girl Scouts of America to help with their important cookie sales. I also had the privilege of taking part in "Operation Christmas Child" with NHS.
