ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I attend a small college preparatory school that is ranked as "One of the best public high schools in the nation." according to U.S. News and World Report. I've maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout high school. I also received an award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in my drama class, and was in the National Honor Society. I was voted Best All Around this year for Who's Who at my school.
Arts
I have been a part of the Washington County Historical Society for nine years. By volunteering in this organization, I have thrived in the arts. I have performed several living history reenactments from the Civil War time period, as well as two different monologues. I have also performed in two musicals put on by my church. In my high school's talent show last year I sang with two other girls. Through our harmonic, a capella performance, we won first place group in the talent show.I play guitar and I also enjoy helping lead worship at my church.
Faith
I've been attending New Heights Church since I was in the fourth grade. When I was in sixth grade I became a leadership teen, helping with a younger group of girls. Now the girls are in the sixth grade, and I am a student leader. I really love spending quality time investing in their lives. I have gone on three mission trips with my church, where I was able to serve others and work hard in dismal circumstances. On one of the trips my group cleaned out apartments that were covered in filth, cigarettes, and animal feces. Through this trip I was able to experience the value of service. Since then, I've interned in the student ministry last summer . I planned and participated in events designed to bring the youth closer to Christ. Through volunteering I have earned congressional awards.
