Athletics
Since my sophomore year of high school I have been involved in my school's Tennis team and the girls Weightlifting team. But even before that I was involved in sports such as soccer, and the swim team. I'm a dedicated person when it comes to my team and I. Being apart of my high school tennis and weightlifting team as many pros. Working together, and supporting each other can forms many bonds between us. Which has lead to many good friendships for me. Also being involved in athletics has taught me determination, sportsmanship, how to push myself to the next level, and loyalty to others. Therefore I have gained many good traits and aspects from playing sports. I must give a lot of credit to my coaches for never giving up on me and always pushing me harder.
Government
I have been involved in student government boards since freshman year. I believe that being involved in those makes you uphold a higher standard for yourself. When you are involved in those leadership clubs, you have to be a leader around the school and for everyone else. Your teachers and the staff holds you to a higher responsibility to set the example and do the right thing. Not to mention it gives you a chance to learn how to be a good leader, work together with your peers, make new friends with people you might of never talked to, and most of all learn respect and open mindedness. As a senior I know that being involved in the leadership and government boards have taught me to lead by example, how to be open to others opinions, and most of all I have formed amazing friendships.
Work
My mom has been a single mother since a young age for most of my life. Therefore since I was fifteen years old Ive had a job so I was able to help her out the best I could. But working at that young of an age has been one of the best things in my opinion. It has taught me how to be responsible an most important, independent. Not to mention it taught me how to be more appreciative of the little things instead of taking what we had for granted. I learned that money didn't grow on tree's, we have to work for what we get. Also by paying my own bills( cell phone, car, and anything I do)I've learned to manage my money instead of blowing any little bit I got. Overall I believe that by me having a job and helping my mom out through hard times and good ones, its taught me attributes for the future
