ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I challenge myself academically in any way I can. I choose to take the highest leveled classes offered, and I go above and beyond by enrolling in rigorous on-line classes. My academics are extremely important to me, so I make sure I always try my hardest. In addition to trying my hardest, I love helping others in their studies. I know how important a good education is, and I want to spread this idea and help others achieve their personal goals. I am currently ranked 2nd out of 110 in my class, and I plan on continuing my education at the University of Pittsburgh as a major in Pre-Dentistry. I will attend Dental School following undergraduate school in hopes of becoming an orthodontist.
Athletics
Athletics have forever been a part of my life. I have participated in competitive sports for years. Whether it was premiere soccer, AAU basketball, club track and field, or tournament softball, I always was on the move. In my high school career, I have received varsity letters in five sports: soccer, cross-country, basketball, track, and softball. I have 1st team All-Conference honors in soccer (3 yrs), cross-country (1 yr), and softball (2 yrs). In addition to this, I have received 2nd and 1st team All-Greater Cleveland honors in soccer for four years. I have been captain of the softball team since junior year, and I was senior captain of the soccer team. I am currently competing on a tournament softball team, and I have committed to playing softball as a PITT Panther next year.
Other Achievements
From being a leader on the field to participating on our school’s first math team, my interests are of a wide variety. The leadership positions I assume allow me to bridge the gap between my peers and school staff and administrators. I choose positions in which I feel I can make a difference in others’ lives, ones in which I am a faithful advocate of certain core values. A fulfilling role I played was being a P.L.U.S role-model to fifth graders in which I expressed the importance of living a drug free life. With them I shared personal stories in which I personally avoid and handle confrontation with peer pressure. My goal is to share more stories with struggling youth in order to share the beauty of a life free from drugs.
