ATTRIBUTES
Academics
In the 8th grade, I took Earth/Space Honors and received a high school credit with my grade of an A in the class. I also took Algebra I Honors in 8th grade and received high school credit with my grade of a B. I received an award in middle school for keeping a 4.0 weighted GPA all 3 years. I currently have a 4.3 weighted GPA in my junior year of high school. I have 19 credits, 3 APs this year (my first year taking any APs), and all of my classes throughout high school have been Honors or higher. Next year, I plan on taking a whopping total of 4 AP classes, which would thereby give me the opportunity to graduate college within 3 years, having already obtained 15 college credits in high school. I am also in the Magnet Law program at my school, which has more rigorous classes than Honors.
Athletics
I am currently involved in 3 different sports year-round; 2 of them at the same time. Swimming & Diving was held in the fall season, where I held first place for 4 of the local meets in a row for the 50-meter sprint. Track season and flag football occur in the spring season. I have been involved in track for a grand total of 6 years to date, and throughout these years I have placed in the following races: 100, 200, 4x1 relay, 4x4 relay, 300 hurdles, long jump and high jump. Finally, in flag football, which I am concurrently doing at the same time as track, I made Varsity on my first year of trying out and I'm also on first string.
Faith
I have been involved in my church since I was born always going to church every Sunday, no matter if we were moving back and forth across the country or not. I received all of my sacraments, and I go to youth group every Sunday. On Sundays, I spend a grand total of 5 hours at church, helping out and doing community service. I also serve as a peer minister within my youth group, which means that I go to church for an extra 2 hours every other week. We peer ministers plan the youth group for the subsequent youth groups that Sunday, and we facilitate these meetings with little adult interference, just adult supervision. This broadens our presentation skills, speaking skills, and communication skills, as well as cooperation, organization and preparation.
