Faith
I am actively involved at my church, Emmanuel Lutheran, where I serve on the Worship & Music Committee. This committee is responsible for budgeting and planning the worship life of our congregation. I also report monthly for the two subcommittees I chair. As the chair of the Association of Acolytes & Crucifers, I schedule participants for weekly services and am responsible for gown up keep and training. I also serve as the Chair/Coordinating Chief Usher on the Usher's League, the other subcommittee I chair. My responsibilities for this position include scheduling ushers for weekly services and maintaining a roster. I also sing in the church's Chancel Choir as well as ring with the Bell Choir. I will be attending the 2012 ELCA Youth Gathering & the SEPA Synod Assembly this summer.
Academics
I am an honors student in my sophomore year in high school. I am in the top 15% of my class being ranked 86 / 574. My GPA is 3.825. I am enrolled in many advanced honors courses, including Pre-Calc/Trig Honors, a senior level course, and Chemistry Honors, a junior level course. I am also enrolled in English Honors, the highest level literature course available to me. I carry 6.9 credits a feat rarely attempted by sophomores. I also serve as a Library Aid. My other courses include Spanish III, the highest level of a world language available to me, and Health, a junior level course that no other sophomores are enrolled in. I am also enrolled in Band Major, Vocal, and Lifetime/Career. I have had the honor of being inducted into the National Junior Honors Society in middle school.
Arts
At my school, I am a member of the award winning Spring-Ford Golden Ram Marching Band. In addition, this year I successfully auditioned to the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the Symphonic Concert Jazz Ensemble for the second consecutive year. Also, I have successfully auditioned to the Vocal Ensemble and Vocal Jazz Ensemble, the premier vocal ensembles at my school, as well as the Tri-County Honors Choir for my second consecutive year. In addition, I sing in my school's Concert & Men's Choirs and am also a member of the Symphonic Concert Band at my school. I am also in various music groups at my church. Furthermore. through my involvement in the Rampage, my school's newspaper, I received the Rampage Photography Award, for outstanding contributions to the Photography Dept., as a freshman.
