Community Service
I have over 100 hours of community service in many programs. I have two specific programs that i have accumilated the most hours in. The two programs are Habitat for Humanity and my local youth center. My experience with Habitat for Humanity was a great one. I had the opportunity to nail the plywood on the roof of the house and a friend and myself managed to get half the roof done in just one visit. We live in florida so as you can imagine it was very hot on the roof, but we could barely tell because we knew we were helping people in need. My experience with the Youth Center has also been a great one. For the past four years I have been at the Youth Center coaching the little kids in wrestling, giving them the tools they need to succeed.
Athletics
I have been the captain of my wrestling team for the past three years and i love it. Last year i was given MVP of the team and i was a district champion. This year my team and I are on the road to doing well in the state tournament. I am currently ranked fifth in the state and my team is ranked fourteenth in the state, so we are doing very well.
Academics
My GPA has never been the highest but it's not because im lazy. My GPA has fallen a little bit down to a 3.56 due to the rigor of my courses. This year I will complete 2 honors courses, 2 AP courses, and 2 Dual-enrollment classes. I have completed a total of 2 AP courses previous to this year. These classes are extremely tough and i don't always finish with an A but i dont let my grade fall below a B. Between my Wrestling and volunteering at the Youth Center it has been tough but in my opinion i have been very successful. I hope you think so to.
