Academics

My grades got me accepted into the National Honor Society.I am currently standing at a 3.95, and in the spring I will be graduating in the top 10% of my class. I have been on the Honor Roll for my entire high school career, multiple times with a GPA of 3.8 or higher.

I have been nominated student of the month multiple times from my teachers. My grades and citizenship have lead me to achieve this opportunity. I am planning on attending Albion College in the fall for elementary education and psychology. While enrolled in college, I would love to study abroad, so I can learn more about other civilizations and expand my knowledge about the world around us.

Community Service
Community Service

I love volunteering because I know I will be contributing to a great cause.I received the Daughters of the American Revolution in which the requirements for the award were to have leadership and to have contributed at least 50 hours of community service. I have contributed well over 200 hours just within the past 2 years. I assisted raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I also helped create a system at my school for needy families in our community. We fill boxes of several food items around Christmas time, and we deliver the packages to the families. I have volunteered for 2 years at the Red Cross Blood drives. Also, I walked dogs at the Humane Society to raise awareness of animal abuse and to promote adoption.

Government
Government

Since my freshman year of high school, I have been class president. I am in charge of holding and establishing all class meetings, and getting out all needed information to students in the Senior class.

I was also elected the National Honor Society's Vice President this year. This means that I create multiple community service opportunities for our group. One of which, I helped create a recycling system for our elementary, middle, and high school. We bought bins for all recyclable items, and I helped promote the school to go green! These positions have given me great leadership opportunities, and I have become a more responsible and dedicated student because of it.
