Community Service
I enjoy community service. I participate in everything from planting community gardens to tutoring younger students in different subjects like math and reading. I have a passion for helping others, I think thats why I participate in so much community service. I"ve help plant a community garden, I've made sandwiches for the juvenile detention centers, I've taught different classes at my church, I've even helped clean up our future youth center for my church. Helping others puts a smile on my face. I would do anything in my power to help a person in need, because God has blessed with many great things so I have to give back.
Faith
I am a very active member in my church. Going to church is like a past time of mine, Im at church at least four to five days of my week. I am the captain of the dance team, the president of the choir, the secretary of the tutorial ministry and also one of the head youth leaders. I enjoy worshipping the Lord with all my being. God has blessed me with life, health and strength. God has blessed me with many talents also. He gave me the power to lead the younger children in my church to the Lord because they look up to me. Working in the church is one of my favorite things to do. It provides me with an outlet to my energy and place to keep me safe.I couldn't make it in this life without God.
Work
I had my first job my eleventh grade year. It was a summer job through a program called Project Genesis. The program was for students who were looking to go into a medical career. I enjoyed it. I learned alot and met alot of new people. I also sew hand made bags. I like to create my own accesories. That assures me that no one else will have it because I like to be original. I sell my customized bags all over the city. One day I would like to mmaybe have my own business. I've always been told that if you don't work, you don't eat. Its a great feeling when you pull your own weight around the house. One day I will be a successful Social Worker helping children throughout the metro detroit area. That would be the perfect career for me.
