Arts
I excel as an artist. I've been in an art school since middle school and my first year of high school. Upon switching school I enrolled in art class there and have been one of the most succesful painters in my classes. I have had my work in school galleries and also had my work reach regional level in contests. I am a yearbook layout editor, I basically organize how everything goes on the pages using my artistic skill. I also am enrolled in Advanced Placement 2D Studio Art. I keep up with my projects and have no trouble coming up with original ideas.
Other Achievements
I like to think of myself as a natural born leader. It comes natural for me to take charge in activities. I've been the leader and coreographer at my school for the annual Multicultural festival for three years. I lead the Latino group, every year I come up with an original dance routine and teach it to my group of dancers. I also am a 2 year officer of the Spanish Club. I have been part of the Advisory Chair Commitee and have been Vice President. I also am a yearbook editor. I make layouts, assign staff to pages and make sure all the work and content is approtpriate and ready to be submitted.
Faith
I am an active member of my church. I attended youth group and was the coordinator for 3 years. When I was younger I was an altar server for 6 years and I am now a lector. I help with to usher and collect donations for the church. I have been active in many retreats as a volunteer, or I have given a speech or organized and activity. I attend mass every Sunday. Religion is a big inspiration in my life. It gives me focous and direction.
