ATTRIBUTES
Academics
Since my junior year of high school, I have been taking extra classes as my local community college. In the last three semesters, I have completed twenty-five hours worth of classes. I currently have a 3.75 GPA at Houston Community College and a 3.5 GPA at my high school. Last fall, I was put on the "Dean's List" at the college. At that time, I was a full time high school student, part time college student, and worked 15-20 hours a week. Even through all of thoes "I just want to quit" moments, I powered through and was victorious in all of my classes and work tasks.
Technology
I have grown up around technology. My father and step-mother (who I have lived with for the past few years) are both successfully employed in the computer field. My father is my inspiration for going into Digital Forensics. He has taught me countless lessons in IP addresses, networking, and firewalls. My junior year of high school brought me two "Microsoft Application Specialist Certifications" in Word 2007 and PowerPoint 2007. I am currently in the process of getting my Certification in Excel 2007 and Outlook 2007, as well. My future career is most definitely going to be "geeky" (as my father lovingly puts it) and I welcome every high and low that may accompany it.
Athletics
I tend to define my childhood with my thirteen years of dancing. Through multiple studios, neighborhood classes, and school dance teams, I indulged in all areas of the art/sport. From my roots in ballet and tap, I worked my way up to areas of dance like hip-hop, drill team (including kick routines), and modern. I loved to get on stage and show the audience what I had. My flexibility and ability to keep the rhythm helped me get an officer position on a dance team that I was on for three years. Countless hours were spent practicing for my three minutes in the spotlight and I loved every second of it!
