Academics
Ever since I was a little girl, I remember wanting to either be a doctor or lawyer.. back when those were the only jobs I knew. Now, I want to be a teacher, but even though you don't need all A's to be in that career, I like knowing that I tried and did my best in school. Never have I ever not gave my all, in all that I do. I'm 100% devoted to my school work. Learning may seem like a hassle to other people, but not me. I love to learn because it provides me methods of excelling and to use the knowledge to help the others around me. I am in many organizations in my school as well, like FEA, FCA, FCCLA, JuCo, Honors, Scholars Bowl, Math Team, and Tri-M. In FCA I am a promoter and in Scholar's Bowl I am in the varsity team.
Faith
My faith is the most important thing in my life. I didn't grow up in church, my mother is not a christian, but I got saved when I was 10 years old at a small country camp in Weir, Kansas. To this day, it has always been the thing I am devoted to most. I spend more than half of my summer working at the local church camp, which I was saved at. I am also in the youth group and participate regularly in all aspects of my church life. If the church doors are open... I am most likely there! I love being around people that are uplifting and helping me to grow in my faith. Like the quote "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything", that is one of the many reasons that I believe so much in my faith.
Arts
Music is what makes my heart beat. I never go a single moment, or day, without some kind of music playing. I am in the show choir and color guard in my school. I am the lead alto in the choir, and I love to sing. When I am older, I would like to pursue a career in singing. Music has always been there for me, even when people have not. It has never let me down. Color Guard is also important, because I am going to be the captain next year. This year I am co-captain with another girl, but I like this too, because it provides me a way to show others the true beauty of what you can do with a simple object you can see everyday. I like to believe the color guard, is what brings the music alive. As you can see, music is very important to me as well
