Academics
I am a very dedicated high school senior. I am 17 years old and have worked hard to keep my grades where they are. I have a 4.0 G.P.A. on an unweighted scale and am ranked number one in my class. I have earned 9 college hours at my high school through Cossatot Community College and will have 12 hours at the end of this school year. I am a USAA National Honor Student and was selected as Who's Who among American Students. I am a good all around student and I enjoy learning new things.
Athletics
I have played sports my whole life. I love to play and to watch any kind of athletic activity. I play basketball and softball for the Kirby High varsity teams. The basketball team has made it to the state tournament every year, and I really enjoy playing, but softball is my passion. I pitch on our high school team as well as for tournament teams I have played for. I have been All State in softball for four year and was selected as the regional player to attend the AHSFPA Jr. Classic at Hendrix college. My summer team also won the 2007 14 and under USFA World Series.
Community Service
I am very active in my community. I am a member of 4-H as well as the Undirty Dozen Peer Counseling group and have done many community service projects through these organizations. Some examples include: buying and wrapping gifts for needy children at Christmas, collecting, boxing, and sending donated items to soldiers overseas at Christmas and Easter, teaching children how to live drug free, serving as an Operation Military Kids camp counselor, serving as the youth coach for the county Jr. Linnaean team, and teaching pitching lessons to younger kids in the community, just to name a few. I love working in the community because I know I am doing something worthwhile to help others.
