ATTRIBUTES
Arts
I've been a visual artist and a writer since middle school. I draw, mainly focusing on wolves and cats and animals in general, but I'm currently working in my spare time to expand my abilities. I would like to be able to find somebody who would color a comic if I sketched the panels, not like Anime but geared towards wolves or cats in a slightly anthropomorphic way. I write-poetry, freeverse, journals, ranting, I do it all. I can take any subject and spit out a persuasive or factual argument that is clear and concise. I specialize in persuasive papers and taking a side in a debate. I enter contests for both drawing and writing when I have time, and have been recognized for both before. I'd love to illustrate books if I was given the chance.
Green
I care about the environment and animals, because I see every animal as an individual with a brain and feelings. I was in the Earth Club at my school during my Freshman and Sophomore years and part of my Junior year. I was nominated Secretary for Sophomore and Junior years. I am not a member this year, but I still save every plastic grocery bag we use and recycle them, though we only use plastic when we don't have our green bags. I pick up trash outside whenever and wherever I see it, be it at the store, in my yard or in my forest. I try to see things through the eyes of the animals that live where I see trash, and try to help them accordingly so they have a safe and clean place to live. I live in the middle of forestry, and love outdoors.
Athletics
I have always loved running and being outside and just playing, and although I'm not hugely competitive I enjoy playing softball and watching football and hockey. I've played softball for about 5 years, starting out my first year as a beginner on a team of well-toned girls who had played since they were 5. With their good help and patience, I grew to love the sport even more, channeling anger and frustration into throwing the ball and slamming it as hard as I could and becoming a not-so-shabby player though I had a late start. I had always wanted to play before, but due to tense family life and lack of money hadn't been able to. Finally being able to play let me show my willingness to learn and have fun and be part of a team with friends.
