Academics

Throughout my High School Career I have strived for academic excellence by trying to participate in classes that would be academically challenging. I therefore enrolled in the International Baccalaureate program which focuses on a broad education. It includes classes such as History, English, Psychology and Theory of Knowledge. Not only have I been successful in those classes, I have also tried to spread my knowledge through academic organizations. I am a member of the Calculus club who provides before and after school tutoring for students that are academically challenged. I also participated in a Environment competition in which i received 3rd place, showing that I can use my in school knowledge to the outside world.

Athletics
Athletics

Since early age I have been interested in sport and other athletic activities. I started at the age of five which Soccer and Team Handball, in which I kept participation until the age of 16 when my family decided to move and Team handball was therefore no longer an option. Just before our move I had been recognized as one of top five Youth players in the State of Halland, Sweden for age group 16. In soccer I later join the High school team where I my senior year got the role as captain. Other high school sports include Tennis which is the sport I consider as my strongest at the moment. Last year I advanced to Maryland State competition in Mixed Doubles and was unfortunately eliminated by the number one seed that later won the whole thing.

Community Service
Community Service

In have always had the need of helping out in my society. Early on I enrolled in groups working to prevent bullying in education settings. By helping in my community I can improve the conditions that exist within our society. The need for good education has always been something I valued and therefore sought to help improve that condition. Education also needs a source of knowledge and whenever i need a question answered I can turn to my closest library. I wanted to help out in the library and therefore volunteered at Washington County Public library, where i could help people to find things they needed. I also help out in the registration process and therefore made more resources available to my fellow citizens.
