Academics
For my academics I have recently become a tutor at Connections Academy to help my classmates with Pre Algebra, Algebra 1 and Geometry. Although I have just started in this class, I have been tutoring since last year by being asked by my math teacher to also help my friends understand different material in the course.
Arts
For the arts, I have been very intrigued and captivated by different poets and artists. I myself have started to draw and become more creative in my writing such as poetry. Soon I will be submitting one of my poems to a poetry and essay contest in the hopes that I may win for my writing.
Faith
I am a Christian and for the passed few years I have been on a retreat and have gone to a youth group to widen my horizons of my faith. But I'd say the most rewarding of all is that for the past 3 years I have helped in my church's Vacation Bible School. Watching the children light up with curiosity or knowledge of what we're talking about is a very rich reward. When I think it can't get any better it's time for the sing alongs. My class this summer was Pre-K, and when they sang, it wasn't singing they were screaming it! And I thought it just got better.
