ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I have a 3.81 GPA in my Freshman year of high school and am on the Honor Roll. I am taking advanced honors math and science courses as well as an honors English course. I also am taking level two Spanish and a band major class. In previous years I constantly received the highest achievement in academics at my school, the President's Award for Educational Excellence. I was also on distinguished honor roll. I was put in the advanced math track in seventh grade, the first year possible. Furthermore, in Middle School I was on the National Junior Honors Society. I was also a Peer Tutor. I also completed a Peer Mediation Course. In course selection for next year, I plan to continue at all my current honors levels, take Spanish III, Band Major, and Vocal Ensemble, an auditioned course.
Community Service
At my church, I am a member of the Worship & Music Committee which discusses the actual service aspect of the church. I am also a serving acolyte and crucifer as well as the person in charge of the group. These people provide ceremonial services during the service. I create a quarterly schedule and provide week to week support. I am also a serving Usher as well as the Coordinating Chief Usher. Ushers provide hospitable services to the members and visitors at the church. As a Coordinating Chief Usher I organize a quarterly schedule and when necessary step in for the Supervising Chief Ushers. I was chosen as the Southeastern Pennsylvanian Synod's Youth of the Month this past August. I also sing in the choir and ring hand bells. Once a month I deliver Meals on Wheels with my school.
Other Achievements
I have been involved with the middle school and high school instrumental and choral music departments. I participate in marching, concert, and the auditioned jazz band. I was named first chair on my part in the HS Jazz Band this year. I am also been in concert choir, men choir, and several auditioned and honors choirs. The highest choir I have participated in is the Tri-County Honors Choir. I have also serving as Class Treasurer for my second consecutive term and Student Council for my third consecutive term. In addition I have been a yearbook staff member and served as editor for one year. I also write and take photography for the school newspaper. I have participated in Reading Olympics and MATHCOUNTS competitions. I am currently a member of the finance division of the yearbook.
