Academics
In sixth grade, I received the Presidential Award of outstanding achievement in the field of academics. In eighth grade, I was awarded a medal for having maintained a 4.0 throughout Junior High. Freshman year I took Honors English, Honors Geometry and AP Environmental Science, scoring a 5 on that AP test. Sophomore year I again took Honors English and Honors Algebra II/ Trig. In addition, I took AP Biology, and scored a 4 on that AP test. Junior year, I had the highest grade in my Honors Anatomy class, and received a 3 on my AP Physics test. I received a 197 on the PSAT, a 1900 on the SAT's, a 31 composite score on the ACT's and I have a 4.17 GPA. I plan on attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to study Animal Science, then heading to UC Davis to earn my DVM.
Athletics
I am a cheerleader at Hart High School in Southern California. I was on Varsity as a freshman and that year, we went undefeated and walked away with a win at USA Nationals. I love my team and I would do anything for them. In 2010, I helped lead my team to win Nationals despite competing with stress fractures in my shin. After that competition, I could hardly walk, but a win at Nationals and a nearly undefeated season blocks out pain. As a sophomore, I was awarded the Coaches Award for extraordinary dedication and overall ability. This year, as a senior, I was chosen as one of the top 10 cheerleaders at a camp of more than 1000, and performed solo for the title of USA All-American. I was also personally asked to return to the camp to coach once I turn 18. Cheer has made my 4 years amazing.
Arts
I am an artist. My sketchbooks and school notebooks are filled with drawings and doodles of the things I love. In 2008, I was voted by my classmates as Most Artistic in my class of nearly 1000. Recently, In December of 2010, I was highlighted in our newspaper as the Artist of the Issue. In addition to a photo of me and some of my drawings, the article included a description of my odd style. My style consists of a blend between real life and a twisted imagination. My favorite thing to do is to take something ordinary and turn it into something extraordinary. In addition to drawing, I love music. I have played piano for 13 years and guitar for around 11 years. I grew up loving music, and will for as long as I can hear.
