Academics
I am a Junior still in the running for Valedictorian, and have been in all advanced / honors classes I could be in . I was in Honors English 1, Honors Biology, and Honors Geometry my Freshmen year. I was in Honors Algebra 2, Honors English 2, Honors Chemistry, and Honors American History my Sophomore year. I also won the Clinton Kiwanis Sophomore of the Year Award for 2009-2010. This year I am in Honors English 3, Honors Pre-Calculus, AP American History/ Honors American Government, and AP Chemistry. So far I have over a 4.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Straight "A" student. I plan on takeing Honors Human Phys, AP Calculus, Psychology and AP English next year. I took a college Computer/Science class at SouthWestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, OK for robotics programming; passed "A+".
Community Service
I've been a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church, and Awana's. I have volunteered to be a Vacation Bible School counselor seven times in the past three years. I have also volunteered to travel and preform with the Victory Missionary Baptist Church Puppeteers many times 2004-2009. The Puppeteers put on church based puppet shows for nursing homes, church camps, and many different Oklahoma church activities. I volunteer to do Compliance Checks for Red Rock and Students Against Destructive Decisions which is where I see if the store sells beer to me. I volunteered to act in the "Reality Party", a mock party that adults attended to see what dangers teenagers could face every time they go to a party, mainly for alcohol awareness and how alcohol effects teens. I tutor people in Algebra1&2.
Other Achievements
I am & have been on the Oklahoma Honor Society. I'm President of Students Against Destructive Decisions. In 10th & 11th grade, I held the title Parliamentarian in Student Council Office. I Founded Kids of Character in the Spring of 09; it was designed to help 2nd graders develop good character traits. I'm in Advanced Choir, & made it into Western Oklahoma Choral Directors Association, a select choir I had to addition for. I was in Legal Team in 9th & 10th grade, & was announced "Best Witness" in 3 competitions. I won a math scholarship. Kiwash Electric Co-op Contest finalist; at the finals I won the "Youth Tour Contest" trip to Washington DC; I will talk to our Congressmen. 6th place in Trig.test at SouthWestern Interscholastic Meet. I was just elected Treasurer of my Senior Class 11-12.
