Academics
I am currently enrolled in 4 Advanced Placement classes; AP US History, AP Biology, AP Statistics, and AP English 11. I have straight A's and a 4.6 grade point average. My sophomore year, my weighted g.p.a. was a 4.17. I took 2 AP classes last year, the maximum AP's a sophomore could take. I passed my AP European History test with a 4. I also scored an 1850 on my practice SAT. My academic achievements have reached their pinnacle with my induction into the National Honor Society, a society for Academic Excellence. I have made Principal's Honor Roll every year of my High School career. I was awarded a 4.0 g.p.a. patch for my Letterman's's jacket for my high g.p.a. My g.p.a. weighted over my Freshman and Sophomore years was a 4.17.
Community Service
I am involved with many community service clubs at my school. I am an officer in Interact, a community service club run though Rotary. I am also involved in Earth Club, where I recycle after school and after football games. I have also volunteered for 3 years at my local libraries doing page duties. In 2 years of high school, I racked up 150 or more hours of community service. My favorite service activity is Youth Court. I work with the Police Department and I prosecute, and defend teenagers who have plead guilty to minor crimes, and misdemeanors. I also get to sit on the jury and help create punishments for the teens. I get about 4 hours a month doing Youth Court, that is not much, but I love positively influencing my peers.
Other Achievements
My school involvement and club leadership is something I am very proud of. I am co-captian of my Varsity Girl's Golf team. I am Vice President of the French Club at my school. I am the Officer of Communications for Interact Club at my school. I am Secretary for Young Democrats Club, and Treasurer for Youth Court. I am Officer of Publicity for the Debaters Club at school. I am also an active member in Science Olympiad Club, National Honor Society, Earth Club, Invisible Children United, and Mock Trial. I am poised to be co-captian for Mock Trial next year, and I will get a leadership position in the National Honor Society at my school next year. I was also involved in Track and Field my Freshman Year running sprints.
