Academics
I'm a very studious member of my school. I've made honor roll status consistently in my classes I’ve acquired three bronze medals at the Muscogee County Annual Academic Decathlon. I'm in the top 10% of my class. I've received a 5,000 scholarship to Boston University. I was chosen as the National Exchange Club Student of the Month for my school. Teachers often recommend me for extracurricular activities because they know that I am a successful diligent worker. Everyday i go home and study countless hours so that i can ensure that i have a successful future; recently i've won the Georgia Star student award for having the highest SAT score at my school.
Community Service
My dedication top helping others is what I’m above all proud of the most. It is seeing the joy in people's eyes when I help them that inspires me and keeps me motivated. I’ve lead my school’s March of Dimes Campaign raising the most money of any high school in Georgia. ($10,000). This organization is very near to my heart because i have a premature younger brother and don't have a clue where i would be without him in my life. During my entire high school Career I've volunteered over 500 community service hours in nursing homes, clothing/food drives, etc. I've recently won the title of "Mr.JVHS" at my school. I've also found out that I've won the NATIONAL COCA-COLA SHOLARSHIP for my leadership and community efforts.
Other Achievements
I’ve received (2) awards for my city-wide Martin Luther King Jr. Dedication Oratorical. I represent and Lead the entire Senior Class of Jordan Vocational High School and was given a KEY TO THE CITY OF COLUMBUS, GEORGIA. I was chosen out of thousands of students in my city to attend a Forum where Colin Powell, Commander Gen. David Petraeus and others spoke. I am ranked 6th in the nation for my Communication, Advertising, and Leadership skills in SkillsUSA. I am ranked 1st in the state of Georgia for my Communication, Advertising, and Leadership skills
