Academics
When I started school I made a goal to be the best that I can be. By making this goal I now achieve a 3.9 GPA and have chosen to take all the top classes such as AP United States History and Honors English. At times I struggle such as in my math classes but that never stops me. I choose to keep going and while I get a B in the class its where I learn the most and now am taking AP Calculus BC which to me is a huge deal because I chose not to quit but to continue and do my best and succeed in all that I do. Overall the classes I take have caused me to think in a new way and to never give up.
Community Service
As I got into High School I began to realize that while I worked in my community for Church I didn't feel that I did enough. So I chose to do more. I joined two clubs that could get me the information I needed to find places to serve. Right now I am working on a community garden that the food from it will be going to the food bank and I also am in charge of the community Halloween Night which is held every year at the High School. Last year they got over 2,000 kids coming through. My goal on this project is to make sure the kids have a safe environment to Trick-Or-Treat in but also a place to have tons of fun. My community is a great one and I love it so much and I love to serve it in my own way.
Faith
My faith means a lot to me. I am a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, my faith has taught me to stand up for what I believe in. There are specific things that I will or wont do based on what I believe. I also take a class period off one semester of the year to take a Seminary class where I don't get any credit for it but I take it with great attendance. Its a priority in my life to follow my beliefs and be an example of the things that I believe. I dedicate time in my life each day to study the Scriptures and to reflect on the teachings of the Church. My faith reflects alto about who I am.
