ATTRIBUTES
Community Service
I try to get involved in my community as much as I can. I often volunteer to help at elementary schools; this includes working with the kids and supervising them. I volunteer at a soup kitchen for people who are less fortunate. Special Olympics is another annual event that I enjoy helping out at; it is an amazing experience to work with the wonderful people there and cheer the contestants on. I have participated in the annual relay for life event as well for two years to help raise money for cancer. Finally, I am planning on being on my town's youth council; this way I can contribute to young people's success and voice my opinion. My community is significant to me and I earnestly make an effort to dedicate my time to make it a better place
Other Achievements
Being diverse is a vital attribute that I aspire to obtain. I associate myself with numerous clubs and organizations; including student council, national honor society, church youth group, and much more. Student Council encompasses a lot of hard work and dedication,; I have participated in several projects to benefit not only the student body but people across the world. We had a "Hearts For Haiti Fundraiser" as well as a fundraiser to help our soldiers. My church youth group focuses on personal growth and developing essential skills, as well as serving the community. I have been president of my youth group as well as a counselor. My goal is to excel in any and every aspect of my life.
Academics
Academics has always been a vital part of my life. Since elementary school I have had a diligent attitude in getting the best possible grades. As a result I was always on the honor roll and that work ethic has continued on to my high school career, where I have been a Golden Scholar consistently for three years. This means I have had a 3.8 grade point average or higher consistently. Also, due to my academic success I was chosen to be on the National Honor Society club. I am ranked number 48 out of 750 in my class. I challenge myself and take honors and advanced placement classes, which I have done consistently throughout my high school career. I refuse to take the easy route, but to endure the rigorous courses that have benefitted me.
