Arts
Arts

Since I was a freshmen in high school I was engaged in all activities that had to do with Theatre. I took Theatre 1 and Theatre 2 while also taking Dance 1 to get a grasp of other forms of art that is performed on stage. Next year I am taking Theatre 3, Show Choir and Peer Helping for my Theatre Director. I have recently been inducted into the International Thespian Society. I played the part of Frenchy in Grease and have been highly engaged in Speech and Debate. Next year I plan on performing in Bye Bye Birdie and Hairspray. Theatre is my life and I love it so much.

Government
Government

My sophomore year in high school I was elected as my schools SGA Historian for my Junior year. I was apprehensive and nervous about taking the position from the then Historian Ms Naphy but I soon settled in. The Historians job is to document every event the SGA partakes in and to take pictures of the events also. The Historian is also required to make two scrapbooks during they year...one in the beginning of the year called the Honors Council where all documented activities are evaluated by the state board. The second at the end of the year called the Social scrapbook just for memories. I felt so in place this year as Historian that I ran again for next year as Historian and won for my senior year.

Community Service
Community Service

This past year Community Service has been a major part of my eduacation. The SGA including myself are rewuired to do 150 hours of community service a year. We have done things from helping out in the school to our famous Angel Tree. Angel Tree is where the SGA gets the whole school involved to donate food, clothes, and toys for needy families in our community. This is during the Christmas season. The SGA itself donates items and makes sure each needy family gets a Christmas ham or turkey. As a group the SGA goes to each families house and presents them with the donated items and sings carols to show that we care. Also during the duration of the year we perform small tasks such as visiting the nursing home across the street.
