Academics
My parents pay a lot of money for me to attend the private school that I am currently going to. I do not want that money to go to waste, and it has always been driven into me to always do your best and beyond. So then I have always strived to do my best in athletics, arts, and especially academics. I am a regular Honor Roll student having a 4.1 grade point average (because of college classes). I'm a National Honors student and taking this year a total of 5 college classes while still a senior in high school. the college classes have been very challenging but already this semester having completed 3 college classes I excelled and received 2 A+ and 1 B+. I plan on excelling in my next 2 college classes and with the head start on college credits I am hoping that i can double major in college.
Arts
I have always been passionate about art. because of my love for art I am planning and hoping that one day I will become an art therapist to help many through art. I have received an honorable mention on a painting in the Tri-Metro Art Competition and have achieved 3rd place in my district in the Congressional Art Competition. This piece of art now hangs currently in Senator Betty McCullum's office. I have recently entered several drawings in the National Scholastic Art competition and am still waiting to hear a reply on if i have preceded to the next round of the competition.
Work
I used to for about 3 years work at my father's company as their secretary/office worker. I would file and organize papers, answer the phones, and help with inventory count. I have recently this year started a new job at King of Kings Lutheran School working as their after school day care assistant. It has been hard balancing work and school but I know in the long run that this job will help me earn more responsibility, earn money for college, and allow me experience with kids (since I want to become an art therapist). Not only is working at KOK School challenging, it is also a commitment. I have played basketball and track for 3 years, but because of my job I was forced to quit all sports, since I could not fit the time in. But I am thankful for this job and am planning to stick to it.
