ATTRIBUTES
Faith
My faith is a big part of my life. My faith is something that takes me out of my comfort zone and pushes me to become a better person each and every day. My faith is what brought amazing memories and accomplishments to my life that I will always look back on. For example, with my local church, about 20 students including myself, all traveled down to Mexico for a nine day long mission trip. We stayed at an orphanage and helped rebuild the area as well as their local church. This experience helped me grow as a person. I made friendships that will always remain, and I grew in my faith so much more. Mission trips test your faith in God, and yourself in which I will love to do again in the future.
Arts
As a little girl, I have always been the artsy type. Every year throughout my schooling, I have included some kind of art class. Including the following courses: Painting, Interior Design, Ceramics, and Photography. My all time favorite course would be Photography. I took two years of this class that tought me amazing skills and expanded my understanding of what photography really is. I earned several awards and certificates for "Best Work" in the class that demonstrated my ability to succeed. Photography is something that will always be cherished in any circumstance and will always be looked upon. With that being said, I am very passionate for what I do to show and demonstrate the little things that many others would not have captured in a single photograph.
Community Service
As a student in my leadership class, we are taught to lead in humbleness. We are told to lead in our community and be the bigger person. In order to be that person, we are driven to help those in need. I was one of three people in charge of a fundraiser to raise money for those who have Prorstate cancer and also volunteered at a local Giving Tree foundation. I also volunteered at White River Church and took care of children raging from ages 9 months to 6 year olds during morning service every sunday for about 3 months. Helping my community several ways possible is something I am very passionate about.
