ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I have a 4.0 GPA and an SAT score of 2060. I have dedicated much of my time to becoming the best I can be academically, constantly searching for challenges in and out of the classroom. I stimulate my intellectual curiosity by taking honors-level and dual-credit courses, as well as pursuing further information with research projects and online courses. I also
attended the Advanced Studies Program at St. Paul's school, where I studied World Religions. Learning has always been my greatest passion, and I enjoy going 'above and beyond' in my studies to pursue a deeper understanding of the concepts presented in each topic I learn about.
Arts
Theater and music are two of my most important extracurricular activities. In my school band, I am the percussion section leader. I play many instruments including almost all percussion (though I specialize in mallets), guitar, and bass guitar. In my school's choir, I am one of the lead sopranos as well as a honors-level senior. I have participated in the NH All-State Festival for two years, as well as several other local festivals.
I have been involved with theater throughout my life. In high school, I participated in many productions as both an actor and a technician. While I love acting, my main focus has been lighting design for about five years. I design and operate all of the lighting for a local dance studio's annual recitals.
Community Service
I have over 250 hours of school-documented community service despite the graduation requirement being only 48. Each year, I actively participate in the Shrine Maple Sugar Bowl as an All-Star Band member, fundraising and working to support the Shrine hospitals in New England. I have worked with the Cub Scouts and Claremont Middle School's drama program to mentor young people for the past few years. I also work with the local animal control officer cleaning cages and taking care of the many animals she keeps in her home shelter.
As an active bowler, I also coach a 'Pee-Wee' (4-5 year old) youth league through the USBC, and have done so for three years.
