Community Service
I have become very involved in helping the global community. I've done two mission trips; one to Tanzania and Colombia. They both involved service manual labor projects and improving education in primary schools. The trip to Tanzania was spent during three weeks in the spring of 2012. The Colombian mission trip was also three weeks in the summer of 2012. Since then I have given speeches promoting a group I'm a member of, the Tanzanian Village Fund. This fund is a non-profit organization geared towards developing a small village in Moshi, Tanzania called Mikocheni. Please visit tzvillagefund.org to find more about my organization.
Academics
I am currently in 4 Post Secondary classes at St. Cloud State University. I was enrolled in 4 Post Secondary classes last semester as well. I plan on having about 40 college credits going into my first year of college. I am also taking Honors Spanish; I have been taking Spanish for five years now. I received a 29 on my ACT test, with a 34 on my science test. I have a GPA of 3.8 with that average growing my senior year. I have been on the honor roll every year, and I plan on keeping that going this year.
Work
Since my junior year I have worked a part time job. In the summer of 2011, I started working at Sartell Summer Recreation. There I worked about 30 hours a week teaching children how to play sports. I continue to work here every summer since then as they ask me to come back each year. This job has helped me grow as a leader and become a more enthusiastic and patient person. The following fall in 2011, I started my employment at Culver's restaraunt in Waite Park, Minnesota. I work on average of about 25 hours a week during the school year and 40 hours a week in the summer. I have been promoted twice since my employment, and am considered a supreme example of a crew member.
