ATTRIBUTES
Academics
During my years at my high school I've been involved in a lot of different clubs and activities and for the most part I have assumed a leadership role for all of them. I've been president of my class for four of the possible six year (grades 7-12) and vice president for the other two years I wasn't able to be president. Currently I'm president of my class, president of the National Honor Society, president of the Spanish Club, vice president of the Adventure Club, and I am a 5 year member of the Model United Nations. Additionally, I also play varsity soccer and keep the book for the boys Varsity basketball team. I will admit that doing all of these things is very exhausting but I manage to keep myself in check and still maintain one of the highest averages in my class.
Community Service
I've been in Girl Scouts now for 13 years. Because of Girl Scouts I have been able to be a part of many different things that help out the community as a whole. One of the biggest things that we do as a troop for the community is that we go to the local cemeteries to assist with flag maintenance for the veterans that are buried there. My plan was to get my Gold Award for Girl Scouts because I have put so much effort into it throughout the years, but unfortunately, when I proposed to the Girl Scout Council that my gold award would be to help the American Legion make a memorial in town and be directly responsible for the actual monuments themselves, the council thought that it was more of a service than a leadership experience. Regardless, I'm excited to move up from ambassador to adult.
Work
I have only had two genuine work experiences in my life but I feel that since I am so young the positions that I've held were impressive for my environment. My first job was the summer when I was 15 and it was working at the American Management Association as a Database Maintenance Specialist. It was only a temporary summer job but at the time, I was one of the youngest employees that they had ever hired. Subsequently, they haven't had the budget to hire any summer temps but said I would be the first employee they called back. This past summer I was hired as a Technical Support Agent at Fused Solutions and was repeatedly considered one of the top agents by both my boss and other fellow employees, despite once again being the youngest employee in the office.
