Academics
My academics have always been my strongest suit. Ever since the eight grade when I woke up an hour earlier than most of my peers every morning to go to the high school for and advanced math class, I have had a drive to succeed in school. Ironically, the first semester of that class featured the only B to ever tarnish my almost perfect 3.98 GPA. Even now as a full-day senior taking four Advanced Placement classes, one honors class, and one regular class, I was able to pull through to get all A's. I am also involved in my school's Certificate of Academic Distinction program, an independent senior thesis project that will supplement my diploma at the end of the school year.
Arts
Although my rigorous school schedule did not allow room for an art class this year, I have discovered a true love of the activity over the past few years. When I find the time, I enjoy drawing, experimenting with watercolors, and creating my own clothing and accessories. My art has been featured in my school's art shows and my clothing and accessories are a hot commodity on my own online store that I manage and support fully on my own. For the past three years, I have also been the president and head coordinator of my school's photography club. I am always looking for artistic and creative ways to spend my day and try to use my artistic ability in all aspects of my life.
Community Service
Throughout my time as an active member of a number of community service clubs and organizations, I have participated in over 150 hours of service work. From helping to feed 25 children for the next year through the Feed My Starving Children organization, to simply cheering on breast cancer survivors with our home made signs at a community run, I have been able to truly make an impact both locally and globally through my activities.
