Academics

I am an all A-B honor roll student with a 3.83 GPA. I am currently taking 1 AP class and I have already completed 2 college courses through the Iowa Western Community College campus in my town. I am also planning to take 2 more college courses before I graduate in the spring. I received a composite score of 28 on my ACT and I am ranked 5th in my graduating class of 85 people.

As an honor student, I am held to very high standards in my school and communtiy and in my school work, I always try to do my best, regardless of what the subject is. My favorite subjects are math and science. In fact, I've already completed all the math and science courses offered by my high school.

Athletics

Sports are very important to me. I have been in volleyball all 4 years of high school and I have started varsity since my sophomore year. My junior year I was selected as my team’s most valuable player and my senior year I was the third best blocker in my conference.

I am also a basketball cheerleader. I have been on the varsity squad since I started cheerleading my sophomore year. My junior year and senior year I was captain of my squad and my junior year, I was selected as my squad’s most valuable cheerleader.

Track is another sport I participate in. I have been in track since middle school and I plan to do track again my senior year.

I am also involved in swim team. I have been on the swim team for 12 years and have been my team’s high point winner for 7 years in a row.

Work

I have a part time job at Hy-Vee Store Inc. I have worked there since June of 2011 and I still work there currently. At Hy-Vee I am a checker, as well as a courtesy clerk. I love to work with people and I always try my best while I am at work.

I am also a swimming coach for kids 10 years old and younger and I also give private swimming lessons. I am very passionate about swimming and I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to pass my talents, knowledge, and excitement about swimming on to younger kids.
