ATTRIBUTES
Community Service
I have been in Key Club for 4 years. I was the club secretary, my state Lt. Governor and our club president during this time. I was on our United Way Community Impact Panel for two years. I have volunteered at the hospital for 4 years and served on the Student Leadership Board for 2 years. I'm in National Honor Society and I have volunteered in different capacities through that club. I tutored Spanish at my high school. I volunteer with my church youth group to nursing homes and church fundraising and community events. I spent a week last summer at City Gate in Washington DC helping with a summer child care group in the inner city. I volunteer for the Salvation Army, food pantry and Sharing Tree. I teach Sunday School. I volunteered at our local Chippewa Nature Center.
Work
I am a Red Cross certified life guard and I am a certified CPR-AED. I am a Water Safety Instructor. I began life guarding at Midland Community Center in October of 2010. Since I'm a water safety instructor I teach swimming lessons too. I became a head life guard in the summer of 2012. I am responsible for a crew of other lifeguards during my shift. I will receive my Lifeguard Instructor certification this Spring. This will enable me to teach lifeguard training classes. I have had a regular babysitting job since I was 12.
