Academics
Over the course of my high school career academics was always something that I needed and wanted to exceed in. As my Senior year is coming to an end I have achieved a cumulative grade point average of a 3.75, while taking rigorous courses that expanded my knowledge greatly. I have maintained all A's and B's on my final grades for all four years and have been listed on the Honor Roll throughout my high school experience. I also was inducted into my school's National Honor's Society of my Junior Year which requires one to maintain a high GPA. I have always pushed myself hard with my studies to achieve exceptional grades and in hopes to pursue a further education at a wonderful college or university.
Community Service
As my years in high school progressed I have eagerly been involved in numerous community service projects. I have been a social and academic mentor to three students at a local elementary school, all four years I've attended high school. I was also selected and have become involved in my school's peer leaders organization group. I'm a member of the Interact Club. We've helped collect canned goods for food drives, as well as visiting nursing homes and soup kitchens during the holiday season. I have also devoted my time in the winter to be a statistician for the boys basketball team at my school. I am a part of the Italian-American club which hosts an annual clothes drive at my school, which I am fortunate to help out with. Giving back to my community gives me everlasting empowerment.
Government
In my junior year, I suddenly got involved and deeply interested in Government. With this, I was determined to find something to keep my interest alive. I was inducted, by the Mayor of my town, into MAC (Municipal Alliance Committee), whose goal is to prevent drug and alcohol abuse in my town. On the board, I am one of four student members. I've helped organize Summits and school assemblies about drug abuse. I also take a debate course, a double period class called IPLE. My class and I recently went to DC for Princeton Model Congress to debate the bills we had written. With my knowledge on the rules of debating a bill professionally, my bill had passed in my committee. Being a part of PMC and being able to visit DC with my IPLE class was one of my best high school experiences.
