ATTRIBUTES
Academics
All of my main subject classes this year are AP courses and I am maintaining an A average in all of them. I am an honor roll regular and have received a division recognition by the Center for Future Global Leaders for my SAT essay writing. I am included in the top 15 percent of my graduating class and have always been dedicated to achieve high grades. I scored a composite score of 2160 on the SAT and I have only received two B's in my high school career in language classes, as writing is my strength.
Arts
I started to become passionate about the violin since the 3rd grade and decided to join the school orchestra in high school. After freshman year, I advanced and was accepted through audition into the higher chamber orchestra. I became section leader of the second violin section for a year then moved up to join the first violin this year. I received the director's award for my leadership and contribution to the orchestra as a whole last year. This year, I am the group's librarian and I am in charge of the organization and distribution of music before, during, and after class. I am also a part of the Wesley Youth Orchestra's chamber orchestra and became the concert mistress for two years.
Community Service
I have always been interested in volunteer work involving children, so I have been a part of our local Maple Counseling Center's tutoring program for 3 years. Each year, I am assigned a student who I help consistently to excel academically and morally. It is my job to teach them but also to listen to them and be their friend. Additionally, I became an intern at Wesley Youth Orchestra and tutored children who are beginner violinists every week for two years. I continue to attend the orchestra and provide my service to the young musicians. I have also been a part of the PAVA association for two years and have participated in numerous clean ups and meetings to better the environment and the community.
