ATTRIBUTES
Faith
Since birth I have grown up in the church. I am Presbyterian; my parents are both two people that have heavily influenced my choice in religion. Through these years I have met many challenges that have questioned my faith as a Christian in a world where religion and relation with God is considered "not cool". I have learned to share God's word with others as well as stand up for myself and my faith. I go to Highland Presbyterian Church; I am involved my youth group as a student leader to my peers as well as a Sunday school help. I have been given the privilege to work in North Carolina and El Salvador with communities where families and individuals are in need of a better home or a place to call home. I enjoy being part of my church; it helps me grow mentally and spiritually in my faith.
Community Service
Along with my spiritual faith, I also enjoy devoting my time in community service and local events. I am a board member of Leo Club, a member of Aevidum, and Youth Peace Council. With these clubs, I have had a chance to help out families in need by collecting books, winter jackets and clothes, collecting food cans during holiday season at our local food market, helping with the Easter egg hunt for pre-schoolers. With Youth Peace Council and Aevidum, I have had a chance to be a voice to teenagers and enforce awareness in our school of bullying and violence. Over the summer of 2012, I decided to invest my time in our local Ephrata Community Hospital volunteering as a help in the pediatric unit. I found it very interesting and I gained much from the experience.
