Academics
Since my freshman year, I have been in the top 5% of my class. I currently am ranked number one out of my class with a 5.04 out of 4.00 weighted GPA. I am taking two AP classes this year and four dual enrollment classes. I also have taken four other AP classes and passed all of them with a four or five. I've also taken three other dual enrollment courses and passed them with A's. I have also earned the AP Scholar with Honors award. My SAT score is a 1900 and my ACT composite score is a 31.
Technology
I have been raised on technology, being given my first computer when I was two. During high school, I became very serious about learning everything about computers. I've taken numerous technology related classes at my school, ranging from web design to PC support. At my school, I am a leader in our Information Technology Academy, for I am one of the very few girls in the program. I am the first girl at my school to earn the elusive CompTIA A+ 701-702 certification. I am one of the first at my school to also earn all four Microsoft Office 2010 certifications. I plan to continue my pursuit of knowledge for technology by majoring in Computer Science in hopes of one day creating the next "big thing" for computers.
Arts
One of my biggest passions since elementary school has been arts and music. In fourth grade, I began playing cello in orchestra and continue to this day. With my hard work and leadership skills, I have been promoted to both section leader and orchestra captain. During my junior year, I also was chosen as "Most Outstanding Junior Performer" in my school's music department. I have also been into drawing and painting since childhood. During the summers of my freshman, sophomore, and junior year, I decided to help bring the arts back into my community by volunteering at a local children's art camp.
