ATTRIBUTES
Community Service
I am involved in "Interact Club" where I currently hold the position of Club Secretary. So far this year we have raised money for UNICEF, participated in our "Mayors Toy Drive", and many other activities. I am also in Student Council, where we've raised money for local charities, participated in Walk to School Day, etc. For the past four summers I have attended Oklahoman's Without Limits Camp. It is a camp for visually impaired children, who can come to camp for free, and feel as though they are without their impairment. Each summer I have acted as a "sighted buddy" and participated in all the activities with the children. This camp alone has given me roughly four hundred and ninety community service hours. The joy on the kids faces is a priceless memory I get to take part in each year!
Academics
Since the beginning my parents have taught my brothers and I to be very driven in our academics. In second grade I was picked to be on the "Academic Team" for our school, which I took part in until the beginning of my Freshman year. I took advantage of taking advanced classes in any area I could each year, and as soon as Advanced Placement classes became an option, I immediately enrolled. English has always been my strong point, and although I struggled with my Math and Science, I pushed through and received all the extra tutoring I could. As my Senior year approached I knew I wanted to attend college, so I went ahead and enrolled in some concurrent classes in a nearby college.
Other Achievements
Throughout my High School career, I have taken advantage of all the extra curricular activities I could. Freshmen year, I participated in Art class, Pep Club, and played Fast-Pitch Softball, and Basketball. My Sophomore year, I participated in Pep Club, Key Club, and was a Track Manager for our High School Track team. My Junior year is when things got really busy! I participated in Key Club, Pep Club, Interact Club, Musical Productions, and a Football Trainer, I also attended RYLA the following summer. My Senior year has been full of surprises! I am currently serving as Senior Class President, Student Council Senior Representative, Interact Secretary, Yearbook Editor, a Key Club, and Pep Club member, a Football Trainer, and the Stage Manager for our school production of "Happy Days".
