Athletics
I am a very hard working and dedicated athlete. I started this career when I started playing soccer at the age of 3. Soccer is now a huge part of my life and I wish to carry it into college. I play on a very competitive club soccer team that is year round and involves traveling. I also participate in various varsity high school sports. I have played on varsity soccer all four years of high school as well as track. I have received first honors and honorable mention for soccer as well as claimed the DVL title. In track I have received MVP as well as first place in the 400 meters and I have gone to CIF southern sections every year. Lastly I have ran varsity cross country for two years and during that time I placed 19th in state for division 5 schools and our team took 2nd place in state.
Community Service
At a young age I found a strong passion to help those in need. I started out by participating in baseball buddies and VIP soccer where I help handicap children to learn the basics of the sports as well as help them play it themselves. I then decided to help out with the handicap children in the Angel View program. I have created many close relationships with that community and I wish to continue to peruse it. I have held a soccer camp for the impoverished children living in the Duroville community. I wanted to help give the children a chance to be with high school students and to just enjoy themselves. Over a summer I spent a week volunteering and teaching summer school to elementary students and I actively volunteer at a local speech therapy place as well as a Martha's Kitchen & Village.
Academics
I have set my life up so that I am a very busy and active person. I volunteer a lot as well as play sports, hold a job, and participate in school activities and student council. However I have been very proud of myself for holding up strong grades as well as continuously taking the most vigorous schedule available to me. I manage my free time very well by dedicating myself to my studies and getting my school work done. Although I am very active, I know that a good education is important for my future. This has helped me strive to do the best of my abilities and uphold my school work. When I graduate I will have taken 6 AP classes as well as 10 honors classes with a have a cumulative unweighted 3.5 GPA. I wish to continue the hard work in college to peruse a strong career.
