ATTRIBUTES
Academics
I'm one of the top ten students in my class. I have received this award for all of my three years so far. I have received the Principal's Honor Roll for all six of my completed semesters. I am currently in the National Honors Society, California Scholarship Federation, and Renaissance club. I have maintained a 4.5 cumulative weighted GPA. My unweighted GPA is 4.0. I'm currently in five AP courses, including calculus, physics, art history, government, and english. My ACT score was 33, and my SAT score was 2110. I have taken extra math classes outside of school in order to enhance my problem solving skills in math. My favorite class thus far has been Honors Anatomy and Physiology, and I hope to pursue the medical field in the future. My planned major is Biology.
Athletics
I have been on the varsity girls golf team for four years. This year, I was chosen as team captain. Individually, I won two First Team All League titles and one Second Team All League title. I was chosen as OC Register's Scholar Athlete of the week for my achievements in both academics and athletics. I will be nominated for the Scholar Athlete award at my school. I have received the Coach's Award for three years. Our team has excelled and improved each year. We have been ranked as the number one team in Orange County for two years in a row. We have been undefeated twice and won league champions three times. This year, we won the CIF Team Divisional title and placed runner ups in the state qualifier. I also placed 2nd twice in club tournaments and had seven out of seven top ten finishes.
Faith
Despite the stress and chaos that my busy schedule brings, I enjoy volunteering at church. I am currently in my second year as a Confirmation I leader. We organize monthly classes for students, engaging them in activities such as ice breakers, prayer, small group discussions, and talks by guest speakers. I am also a member of the Youth Choir. We rehearse and sing on a weekly basis. In addition to this, we participate in additional retreats and events. Last summer, we sang for the Vietnamese Youth Conference, which attracted young people from all over the nation. Our praise and worship events help young people reconnect with God and proclaim their faith. Through youth ministry, I've grown in my faith and as a person. My goal is to share my experiences and faith journey with others.
