Academics
I can truly say that I excel the best in academics. I have been on the honor roll since I began going to school. I started high school as a student in the International Baccalaureate Program. During the ninth and tenth grade, I have maintained a 3.8 GPA. For this achievement, I was awarded a Superintendent Scholar Award. In April of 2011, I attended a National Young Leaders State Conference in Atlanta. I am also a Lead America alumnus. Currently, my class rank is in the top 13 percentile. In the tenth grade, I was accepted into The Georgia Academy of Mathematics, Engineering, and Science which is a dual enrollment program at Middle Georgia College. I was 15 at the time. I am currently a junior, and I have been enrolled in the program for one semester. I am currently on the Dean's List.
Arts
Music has always been a strong passion of mine. I have been playing the piano since I was five years old. I have been hooked to music ever since. Throughout the years, I have participated in eleven piano recitals and received numerous awards from various piano events. The most important of these events is the West Georgia Music Teacher's Association. It is an event that occurs on a Saturday in March every year. Students have to memorize two pieces of music and then play in front of a judge. I have participated in this event for five years and received one excellent and four superior ratings. Besides piano playing, I also have a long history in Band. I have been in Band since the sixth grade playing the clarinet. Each year, I am ranked as one of the best players.
Faith
Religion is one of the most important aspects of my life. I am a Nondenominational Christian that attends church every Sunday and Wednesday. I love my church, and I am very active in various ministries One of these ministries is the cooking ministry. Every year in June, I help prepare breakfast for my church's week long gathering. This gathering is with other churches from around the globe. Also, I always help cook every time my church has a holiday dinner. Another ministry I participate in is the youth ministry. I enjoy youth Sundays, and I help with the youth choir. Although I adore everything I do in church, the ministry I am most passionate about is the music ministry. Every Sunday, I play the keyboard by ear during the whole church service. I am deeply intrigued about my faith.
