Arts
I have been in the drama department at my high school for my entire high school career. I have been a part for the Chamber Singers (Advanced choir) since my sophomore year. I love music and performing. This is how I express myself. In theatre, I was given the lead role in the 2012 spring musical Into the Woods. During this I was nominated for best actor in a musical by the M.A.C.Y.S. This year, I have received Jean Valjean, the lead in the 2013 spring musical, Les Miserable. In Chamber choir, I have been given numerous solos. I have also been appointed bass section leader for my junior and now senior year. This year I am the Student Vice President for the entire choral department. This year, I was also accepted into Tri-M Music Honors Society.
Faith
I have been blessed to be born into a devote Christian home. I have been raised up reading the Bible and attending Church and Youth Group. God has given me so many amazing talents and gifts and I wouldn’t be where I am today without Him. I am an active member in my Youth Group, The Well at Calvary Chapel Pacific Hills. I am a student leader and a worship leader for High School and Junior High. I love leading people in worship. It’s an amazing way to respond and connect it Jesus. An amazing thing about having a relationship with Christ is that I can give all my stress and problems to Him and I know God will help me through them.
Other Achievements
I am a leader, not a follower. I don’t let society and people rule my life. I have my identity in Christ and I try to show and tell people they can have the same freedom in Jesus. I am the President of Cookies and Christ, a club on my high school campus. I tell as many people as I can that the only way to have purpose in life is to follow Jesus. I try to take all my leadership positions to be an example for Christ. Eyes are always on me because I’m different than everybody else. Whether I’m on stage or singing in choir, all the glory goes to Christ. I encourage my peers and friends to be courageous and make the hard Godly decisions because they will get them father in life and give them purpose.
