Academics
Over the past four years I have done my best to excel in academics. Despite being involved in numerous other activities to represent my school, I have achieved a 4.0 GPA, and scored a 34 when I took the ACTs. I am planning to attend college to major in mechanical engineering; I will probably be attending Iowa State University as a member of the Honors program. Because of these academic achievements, I have also been able to accomplish other related milestones as well. I am the secretary of my school's chapter of National Honor Society, and have served as a 4 year class president.
Arts
I've represented my schools Fine Arts Programs for all four years of my high school career. I am a two year member of the Iowa All State Chorus, and participate in swing choir, men's choir, chamber choir, solo contest, state piano contest, mock trial, and large group speech. I was the captain and named Outstanding Witness of my school's mock trial team last year, which has attended the state tournament for two years in a row. My speech entry, in the category Radio News, was also selected for All-State honors last year. I also was named to two leading roles in our school musicals: Jud Fry in 'Oklahoma' and Sky Masterson in 'Guys and Dolls'.
Athletics
I have also participated in four sports during my entire time in high school. I've played baseball, football, basketball, and run track at the high school level ever since the summer following my eighth grade year. I have currenty acquired ten varsity letters covering all four sports, and still have half of my senior year remaining. I have twice been named to the second All-Coonference baseball team, once to the second teeam All-District baseball team, and once to the second team All-District football squad. I was also captain and MVP of my senior football team, and am currently serving as captain of my basketball team.
