I am a hard working student with a passion for writing. I have also been involved in the marching band as part of the color guard section for four years. During my senior year I was promoted captain. I am also a part of the premier year of the scholastic winter guard, Terpsichore, where I was announced Captain as well. I am dedicated to always striving to be the best in whatever I do.
I have worked as a summer intern for two years through my church, Greater Grace Temple. I was thought how to dress professionally and the ways of the business world which helped me in my business club at school, Business Professionals of America. I held an officer position as Secretary during my junior year and during my senior year I was promoted to Vice President. I have worked at StarVista which is a branch of Star Commonwealth that is a group of social workers who deal with troubled inner city minors. These paid internships helped me land a job at GE Distribution Services where I have worked for about 3 years doing clerical work in the financial department.
I am heavily involved in many community service projects through Business Professionals of America and Interact club. I was also a leader in the Community Service Club at the Boys and Girls Club of South Oakland County. I have volunteered at Gleaners food bank packing food. I have donated toys to Beaumont Children’s Hospital and I have raked leaves for the elderly in the fall months.
